We’re also just 15 minutes from Green Pond Landing and Event Center, a premier launch site for serious anglers. About 10 minutes from Portman Marina. Hosting groups for a Lake Hartwell bass tournament? Book early, weekends with major tournaments fill fast.

But these aren't the point. They're the frame around it.

Villa Zagara is 20 minutes from Clemson's campus. For families visiting students, coming for football weekends, graduation, or family reunions, it's the perfect lakefront base. You get a private home where everyone can gather—plenty of space for multiple generations, a full kitchen for cooking together, a firepit for evening conversations, and activities everyone enjoys (kayaking, hiking, quiet time). It's close enough to campus for easy access, far enough away to feel like a real getaway.
What's included in a stay at Villa Zagara?
Your stay includes two kayaks, 2 kids kayaks, two paddleboards, Georgia and South Carolina state park passes, AllTrails+, a Peloton, sauna, hot tub, pizza oven, Blackstone grill, and all kitchen equipment (Nespresso, KitchenAid). No checkout chores.
Can we kayak from the property?
Yes. Villa Zagara sits on a private cove with immediate deep-water access. You step off your land directly into the lake. Kayak into the protected reserves, explore the shoreline, or simply float in clear depth.
Does this rental provide fast high speed wifi?
Yes, complimentary, fast, high speed fiber wifi is provided.
What wildlife will we see?
Deer roam the property, especially at dawn and dusk. Herons fish the cove regularly. The protected reserves mean wildlife moves freely and undisturbed—you're witnessing nature on its own terms.

Are parties and events allowed?
No.
Is Villa Zagara Pet-Friendly?
Yes, genuinely. Villa Zagara welcomes well-behaved dogs as part of the family, with the same care and standards as our other Blue Ridge Upstate Gateways homes.
A few things to know before you bring your pup:
Fenced yard. Dogs we have a fully fenced yard and a doggy door, yes, you heard that right.
Plenty of nearby outdoor space. Sadlers Creek State Park and Lake Hartwell State Park are minutes away, and your complimentary South Carolina and Georgia state park passes cover entry.
What we provide. Pet bowls, two soft pet beds, blankets, towels for muddy paws, leash, waste bags, and a welcome basket on arrival.
A $75 flat pet fee per stay applies and will be confirmed during checkout. If you stay monthly, it will be $75 per pet per month.
Up to 2 dogs per stay. Please mention them at booking so we can prep accordingly.
Traveling with your dog isn't an afterthought here. It's part of the welcome.
